I have seen a few straps that have a side strap for more security, but I've not seen who makes them.

Dear EdATX,

If you are spending your own money and don't need to look cool just get an OP/TECH sling.

Yeah I know they only cost 20 or 30% of what a really cool sling strap costs but they DO THE JOB!

And that is all you should ask of a tool.

I know because I'm a tool!

I just like OP/TECH stuff and I'll never apologize for it. It's well made, it does it's job, and it's not expensive. How can you argue with that?

Regards,

Tim Murphy :)

No prob buying cheaper. Used BR as an example since I own one already (RS-4 I think) and checked their site. Looking at OP/TECH, I don't see one that has the under arm strap. I'm wondering if I can DIY with my RS-4 to get something working.

I have the Black Rapid and just bought the OP/TECH.
I am going to return the OP/TECH, just my preference, I prefer the camera mount on the Black Rapid.

Dear tapeman,

You could always get the 6 for $ 7.00 ebay BR screw in lugs and rig something up with your OP/TECH like I did to carry a 1DMK2 and a Sigma 150-500.

Just sayin'

Tim Murphy :)

So far the most comfortable way for me to carry the 2 cameras that I have with me most often is to attach the 70-200 to the Black Rapid and use a neck/shoulder strap for the other camera & lens.

For events I'll have the 1D4 on the 70-200/BR and the 5D2 mounted to the 24-70.(neck strap)
For birding I'll have the 5D2 mounted to the 70-200/BR and the 500 mounted to my 1D4 using the strap on the lens.

Pretty comfortable bu still heavy.

I have the BR 7 and I love it. It just works, and the mount is solid.

Quality item for sure.

I bet you camera falls off its BR strap a long time before my cameras fall off their Op/Tech Sling Straps...

I'm with Tom. I use the Luma Cinch 1 attached to my L bracket with a RRS mini clamp. Easy on/off for tripod/monopod use. http://www.reallyrightstuff.com …mp-with-strap-bosses.html (external link)
