Opinions on logos

Hey guys! I'm in the process of redesigning my logo for my landscape photography blog as I feel my current one is a little dated/unprofessional.

These are 3 designs I've been working on out of the hundreds of sketches I drew.

I'm really trying to steer clear of the cliche photography logos. You know, the ones with aperture blades or lens elements etc. So, in order to steer clear of these cliches I've decided to not incorporate the tie to photography and just focus on the landscape.

What do you guys think? Which one stands out most?

PS. These are all still in a rough/draft stage, so no need to comment on the obvious kerning and path issues.

Looking at only the graphic, I don't care for the last at all. I really like the first one. Don't know why....maybe the color combination. I do like the second one almost as much as the first one.

FWIW, I also use used two mountains on my logo as I do landscape/nature stuff....also my initials (MM) form my logo too.

I would suggest the 2nd one, using the blue colour from the 1st one.

And also make the logotype in 2 line rather than one. So it reads:
IT'S WORTH
A SHOT

And also make the font on the website a bit bolder, bigger & reduce the spacing. At that size, nobody would be able to read it.

^That lower text (URL) isn't actually part of the logo. I meant to write that in my original post!

They all say "Hiking Equipment" to me. They all have that outdoor pursuits feel to them.

My first thought; if the 3rd could be tweaked a bit to show a blend of lens or that show "a photography" related logo it would really look neat IMO

I like the middle one minus the black background and maybe making the stroke lines of the mountains a dark blue or red color.

I like the middle one. To me, that particular rectangular shape does have a "photo" feel to it.

I like the potential of using a little color - for instance, take the blue from the first logo, and use it to color in the shadows on the left sides of the peaks.

What happens if you nudge the logo text up, completely eliminate the gap, so that the top edge of the text forms the bottom edge of the rectangle?

The middle one is more versatile. The first, with the drop shadow and shading wont reproduce well in a single color print situation, so you would need to spend more on business cards. The second would work in nearly any color, on any application. It would scale well and work as a water mark too. The last one looks like the 1970's ecology/conservation logos they put on stuff encourage us not to litter or waste water.

It's from a different genre completely, but all see with the last logo is Assassin's Creed.

That last one looks like a water conservation logo, with the drop-shaped inner part.
