The NY Times won two Pulitzers this year. Both were for photographers.

Who says photography is dead, consigned to the blathering masses with iPhones?

Capturing the moment will trump thousands of dollars of gear and "shooting only manual" with primes any day of the week. Capturing the essence goes one step beyond that.

We all have something to which to aspire. Even the folks with iPhones.
