Spent the last 9 days whizzing around Spain following the GP3 tests. Sounds like a grand time, yet the timing of the tests made coming home 2 extra travel days for a 2 days at home, so opted for some sun and sangria.

1300 Kms in an 1100cc Hyundai was better than I thought it was going to be. The Spanish motorway system from Jerez to Circuit de Catalunya makes for an easy drive.

1. Richie Stanaway (NZL) - Down hill out of the hairpin at Jerez

2. Alex Lynn (GBR) - I wonder when Red Bulletin will start taking notice of GP3 (he said hopefully ...)

3. Dean Stoneman (GBR) locking up going in to the harpin at Jerez. Odd, there was nothing going on here and then for 10 minutes everyone was locking up

4. Fairly sure it is Nick Yelloly (GBR) driving this car in 2014. Very kind of them to put lights on the scales. Not allowed to take these images during race weekends.

5. Ivan Taranov (RUS). Hilmer Motorsport took over the team at short notice after the Russian Time founder died. Always playing catchup but they are getting on top of things quickly

6. Marvin Kirchhofer (DEU) - Art Grand Prix. After the normal run of pit lane, garages, 3/4 and pan shots I went looking for something different. A "Marmite" image, but it seemed to go down well enough.

7. Patric Neiderhauser (CHE) - Arden International. As seems to be the current vogue, I thought I'd have a go at a few long distance pans. I did have a bit of a contented moment when I (finally) got it working at 1/20. Then I went on to screw it up for the next 30 images - Doh!

8. And finally Jann Mardenborough (GBR) - Arden International who has come through the Play Station GT Academy. He was certainly "on it" and well worth watching. Not worried about coming out of a corner with the back end hanging out.

That's my 8 ... There a loads more on the web site. Must have covered every driver from most angles.

C.C and bright ideas always welcome.

Cheers Dave

Kiwikid ... I use Canons and L series lenses these days, but spent years with 75-300 and Sigmas while getting here.

One of the best photo jornos I ever read about used a 50mm and a 300 F8 all of his career. There is nothing like practice for getting better :D
