I tried searching, but to be honest, Im not even sure what the heck to search for.

I have noticed a few times lately, usually when I use slower shutter speeds (1/30th), on the quiet shutter setting, that the shutter or mirror makes a weird slapping sound, like a rebound impact. I have no idea if its the shutter or the mirror. 11,500 or so shutter actuations, never had any errors.

Idea's?

I don't use the quiet shutter setting, but I set it up to check. I tried every setting from 1/60 to 1s. I didn't notice anything besides it is REALLY quiet on that setting. I got no slapping or 'secondary' sounds at all.

"A few times lately" points to the fact that the behavior is new and different from before. Something is amiss. I couldn't tell you how serious it is, but different noises that pop up on any machine is usually never a good sign.

Cheer the fella up, why dontcha? :).
Seriously, this may just be a function of the more discrete sounds evident in slower shutter speeds. or the mirror lock-up in LV quiet shutter mode. We can't really tell, based on the two lines of info provided.

As a first step, I'd remove the lens and release the shutter a couple of time, both in 'normal' and in LiveView, observing mirror and shutter action. You may see what's amiss, or notice nothing at all.

Are the images captured during the atypical shutter sound sequence exposed correctly, or within a reasonable margin? Any sign of shutter leaf shadows in the image, which might indicate incipient failure?

You well may have an issue, but don't assume all is doom and gloom until you've eliminated all possibilities. If the issue really troubles you, take the camera body to a reputable dealer and see what the experts think.

Yea, everything is exposing fine. No errors, poor exposures that are not my doing etc.. Ill look at the mirror with the lens off. Pretty sure its quiet mode related.

Maybe go to a shop and try another 6D with the same shutter speed and quiet shutter setting to see if it makes the same sound as yours.
