Nice Goose Terry!
It does seem a bit out of the ordinary for a goose to be that high up in a tree ...
Nice conversion too

Funny bird Levina!
Did you follow his advice?

John, that vehicle looks familiar ;)
I tried to get out there in my 1967 VW Microbus ha ha

Thanks Joayne. I guess they can sit up in a tree if they need to.:)

Levina, some nice finds there, and well photographed. That is a big bear.:)

Your flowers are lovely too, Barbara. Great perspective on the Hyacinth. It's my favourite of the three.

Thanks, Levina. That's my favorite too.

I'll ask the obvious question. What happened to the rest of it?

A lot of great pictures posted since I was here last. :D

Unfortunately, it had a run in with a tire. Rattle snakes are rare around our place, I don't think they like all the fog we get?

I found this in the garden at my son's school. :D

Probably right, they like warmth.

I was prepared for a different answer, "We were going to have chicken for dinner tonight, but we made a substitution . . ."

Hi everyone....sadly I have been unable to add anything since the start of last week as I've had a rush proposal to put together for a new project...and burning the midnight oil every evening.

But allowed myself some time in the garden this afternoon and I found that our swan-plant is producing fabulous seed pods, which bodes well, I hope, for plenty of swan plants for next summer. And hopefully plenty of Monarchs, though I will have to find a way of protecting them from the wasps.

Despite not having time to go finding things I have enjoyed everyone else's contributions...well done all!

I was at a loss this week. Didn't even leave the house until Saturday and then it was a quick errand. The only found thing was this sub-par snap of a pair of wild Monk Parakeets that was hanging out on the wires in front of my house.

Nice seed pods Ricardo.

Nothing sub-par about your photo Vette. I like those little guys--or gals.

I find I really like taking close up photos of flowers.

The world of nature is providing so many finds!

I would too if I could get that much detail. The G15 doesn't cut it, or maybe I don't know how to use it optimally.

Ricardo.. Those seed pods look a bit like Little Shop of Horrors!

Love those wild parakeets Vette! I've recently been reading about birds that have gone extinct, sadly,
and reading about the Carolina Parakeets. Very sad indeed. You've given us some beautiful examples
of this little cutie!

Crow, that SX50 does a dandy job of macro! Beautiful, tack sharp shot!

Since the beginning of the year, because of the back surgery, I have had to start walking.. farther and
faster than ever! I do find some funny things around the neighborhood. I do not take my camera, so
I leave a lot of beautiful flower and bird shots behind, but I do get a great deal of visual pleasure ;)

Here's something that I could bring home.. and Thanks to my lovely model, a display of a "treasure" I
found ... :)

*EDIT*

While cleaning up the front garden and pulling weeds, I found some wild flowers...barely big enough to see.
But, what I didn't see until I uploaded some images to my computer, was this beetle! What a surprise!

There may be ways of doing great macros with the G series cameras OhLook, but I strongly suspect that they can never compete with a good macro lens in a DSLR. I started the digital journey relatively recently with a G10 when they were first introduced but was never able to make the macro images I wanted to until I bought a DSLR and some extension tubes, then a macro lens.

Your own work is proof that in competent hands all kinds of modern cameras can be great photographic tools, even if they can't get in as close as you'd like.
