welcome back Russel and what a way to announce your post. These really are beautiful.
That top one especially so.

I was actually just looking around at our Aussie contributors from past days and here you are posting a few minutes later :-)

Thanks Richard.

We've seen some awesome birds in our travels and i'll try and post when i have signal but it is patchy. We'll be off grid again for a couple of weeks now so not sure when we'll get it back.

We really do live in a beautiful country and there is just so much to see.

Here's a couple of Short-tailed Grasswrens from Mt Ive in the Gawler Ranges

A Male and Female Fig Bird taken at Oxley Creek Common this morning.

Not sure why, but on this morning's walk, the birdlife chose to perch 3 miles up in the canopy, so most of my takes were belly shots.

Cheers

Dennis

Another couple of Willy Wagtail portraits from this morning's walk along Oxley Creek Common.

These are delightful little birds and ever so friendly, albeit always on the go.:-)

Cheers

I think this might be a Sacred Kingfisher and then we have a gorgeous Silvereye.

Both taken at the Oxley Creek Common where ideally, an 800mm or 1200mm lens would be useful.:-)

Cheers

it's quite exciting to watch these male Superb Fairy-wrens gain their breeding colours
This one is really starting to colour up. There's at least one (elusive one fully coloured), and others with just a few tiny flecks
I'll process some more of their progress and post others later
