Great series Richard, #3 is quite evocative.

Even at 1/160 sec, those rain streaks look long and heavy in #2.

The rain was INTENSE to say the least. There were huge sheets of water where that plover was and thankfully they kept out of it.
I was surprised by those long streaks of rain.
No 3 was typical and I have one not so good of plover nearly prostrate. Thankfully they are getting used to our coming and going and don't get so distressed now.

It was wet Lyn and thankfully we didn't get affected except for water across our drive at the creek but passable to 4WD
Others didn't fair so well lower down the catchment and evacuations are happening right now in some parts.
Still nothing compared to huge parts of Victoria by the looks of things - so sad
