Interesting, she describes A young male superb fairy-wren known as Sir Nyn who’s yet to moult into the bright blue breeding colours.
I always thought that would be a female. Orange lore and light coloured beak.

Beautiful.
Fascinating nest.
Not sure I've seen one so like the tree it's built in, on.
Made out of the paper bark it can hardly be anything else.

Yes, paperbark and a lot of spit I think Always fascinating how different birds build different types of nests!

What a treat! A parent feeding the youngsters!!

A male Variegated Fairywren and a Red-browed Finch.

Little Wattlebird

Australasian Darter on her sunset roost, getting a bit nervous at my presence. I was hoping she'd fly but she must have decided I wasn't too much of a threat and stayed put. At McMinns Lagoon.
