Ah yes, I see. I didn't look closely enough and assumed it was the same unusual heron I saw a few days ago, which was a White-necked Heron, as per my crappy for-the-record snapshot taken in the evening gloom as I was leaving. I haven't seen one of these at Fogg Dam before either.

Fluffed up Rainbow Pitta at Fogg Dam today. I have seen a lot of different kinds of birds fluff up and think this might help with getting rid of parasites or get a breeze through your feathers to cool down - or both ;-)a
