beautiful bird
The feather details and that sheen are really nice.
A rather unique bird

Thanks Richard, they do seem quite shy and unfortunately, I had to blast them with the unflattering on-camera flash to dig them the bird of the shadows in the dark rainforest.

Cheers

Dennis

This Kookaburra character took the liberty of perching atop my telescope when I was waiting for the clouds to clear, to take photos of the Sun using a professional, specialised solar filter to prevent blindness or melting the sensor.

Cheers

Dennis

Clipper these are fantastic images. All of them.
The Rosella is special. Really beautiful capture of a pose common to them. But that setting is spectacular.
A photo to treasure IMO. And print and hang in a conspicuous place to enjoy

Why did you change the wording? Both versions are funny, but #1 was funnier.

I looked at it again and thought it actually looked like it was smelling the flower rather than eating it, and that was closer to the original saying (which of course is about smelling the roses).

Well, okay. The two lines have quite different effects.

Actually the photo reminded me of this old Gary Larson cartoon
