The 15-85 has been good for me. I think as a landscape guy you would find the wide angle end very useful.

The canon 10-22 EF-S is an excellent wide angle zoom on a crop camera.

10-22 if you want to go ultra wide, the 17-55 2.8 is the gold standard for walkaround lenses on that camera.

The Canon 10-22 or Sigma 10-20 for wide angle landscape. If your looking for walk around the Canon 15-85 is the only way to go outdoors. If you plan to use indoors as well then the Canon 17-55.

I own a 15-85 and do use on a T2i and have to say it is an awesome lens on that camera. It is not as fast as the 17-55, but for outdoors it will give a larger focal range with incredible IQ.

Can understand the 70-200 being too long for landscapes.

I find that for landscapes, I generally have either the 18-50 or the 10-20mm on. Had the 18-50 originally but found the 10-20 opened up a whole other world of options and now wouldn't leave home without it.
