I'm looking to replace the plastic hardshell filter case with the smallest thinnest filter pouch to fit in my pants pocket for walk around days with no bag. My only filter is a 77mm CPL.

Suggestions? The soft ones I'm finding look more bulky than the plastic hardshell case that came with the CPL.

Something you might try is the Container Store, one of which is at 4500 Wisconsin Avenue Washington, DC 20016. For the first time I went into one last week and was amazed at the sizes and shapes of containers they carry. My next task is to measure up a few items, or just take my bag over and start shopping for some containers I've long wished I had.

Try a 77mm metal screwcap. Even if you sit on it, the filter probably won't break. The glass is protected on both sides.
