I haven't posted any pics in a while.....and I've moved a county west since I've last done so. I've been getting into shooting trains, so I've decided to share some of my favorites. All shot with the 1Dmkiv.

Cold (for here) afternoon, in the 20's.....still some snow left on the ground from the recent precip. The heavily shaded areas were the only place I could find snow for a setting, I sacrificed a small amount of blood from some briers for this pic.

Amtrak from Burlington entering the city limits of Mebane, the setting sun casts a last strong blast of light before the treeline shades the engine via 400L 5.6

Wish I had the funds for a regular wide angle lens with AF, might rearrange some gear soon to accommodate that want. I had to use the fisheye to capture the original Norfolk Southern Heritage unit, as it came through town.....all cleaned up for an event in Fayetteville via Bower 8mm

This is a nice assortment of shots. Might clone out the sign in #1.

wish you got more angles on the trains, they are too dead on front for me.

its not how you take the picture, its the final result before editing.

I'm exploring different spots throughout the city, trying to get a good angle. I figured I set myself up for that CC, but thanks for assuring me I need to work on that.

Thanks......very little PP if any. These special paintjobs on the Amtrak units are very pleasing to the eyes. :)

Cool.... was looking for some example of train shots that people had done.... bonus that they were done just down the road.
