I have been using these triggers for a little while with my Canon 5D MKIII with good success, but by no means learned them fully yet. I just sold my MKIII & got a 1DX 2 days ago. I tried out the triggers with my 580EX IIs, just a little testing to see if the flashes fired, and they do, but here's a problem I notice: when I go to External Speedlight Control>Flash Function Settings, it shows ETTL and it won't let me choose to adjust the Zoom & there's nothing there to adjust the power if I have Flash Group "ALL" chosen. If I choose A:B or A:B:C it shows me ratio choices (which I do NOT understand!) but no choices of just the power ( 1/1, 1/2, 1/4 etc) like before. Do you have any idea what I'm missing?

I think that the 622C on your camera is in Mix mode. Hold dowm {CH Set] and [GP Set] for about 4 seconds. This will restore factory defaults.

Have a look at the "New Quick Flash Control Panel" in the Canon Menus section of TOYUG - it shows the settings you need.

TOYUG? - link is in my signature.

I tried retiring, but gave it up - it's a dead end

Those pictures were taken with bare speedlites in a small room with light colored walls. The left/right differences in lighting would be more dramatic in a properly controlled environment.

When using E-TTL ratios, each group fires a preflash and the camera, before the shutter opens, analyzes the light output of each group and adjusts the power of each group according to the ratio settings.
