Very nice. I can see the globules in the full size image and is that a planetary neb in the bottom right ?
I can't for the life of me, see a chicken though.

G'day mate. Yes, that's a little planetary nebula that I believe is referred to as Hen 2-72. I was very careful to try to include it for interest :) Glad to see you picked up on it.

The so-called "running chicken" is upside down in this shot. It's the dark silhouette up the top.

Ahh. Tricky. A northern hemisphere chicken in a southern hemisphere nebula. :)

Thanks guys.

Wes - the camera is a QSI583ws - a cooled CCD monochrome camera. I usually run it at about -15 to -20 degrees celcius.
