I have been going to this state park for a couple years.
The Great Blue Heron are pretty friendly and dont fly away til you get closer than 45 ft. but the green heron are so skittish.

My mission this time was to get them. Failure was not an option.
Here are my fruits. Not fantastic as most are close to 100% crops but they're my best yet.
Im trying to convince my wife I "NEED" a 500 f4
"hiding" in the grass

Good job, Jeremy; one zipped by me last spring (they are rare here) but that was it; so you did well.

Thanks. I dont think I would want to carry the 600 around. Plus im often too close even for 400.

Thanks Craig. I have a feeling that won't work. I do have a conditional OK for the 500.
I just need to make the money with my camera. Lol
