Holy Cow...Just got mine from B&H, it's superb..Will post some pics later...No adjustment needed with my 5DmkIII, (I have a dock)......MFD shots, far away shots... Seems like so far, everything is working as it should and not getting any noticeable focus shift or anything unusual, AF is SPOT on...yay! It is a big heavy lens though...that's the 1 downer, but, I have a 35A as well so I knew what I was getting into.

Around the house on my 5DmkIII...I've read posts where some people say the bokeh is sterile...I think it has character and is unique...The 1st one is at 1.4 and reminds me a lot of my 50L.

Mine arrived this morning. First impressions: feels substantial and well built. Good to hold and AF is fast. One of my first test shots, in this case at f/2. Minor levels adjustments and a 50% crop. No sharpening applied (and all in camera enhancements inc sharpening are set on zero):

I've read a few comments about AF inconsistency with the Sigma 50mm 'A'. I'm not finding it any worse than any other lenses I own or have used. I've never found any lens which achieves AF every time, they all have a few misses. As for sharpness with the Sigma, no complaints at all. Here's a shot at f/1.4:
