Seems like so far, everything is working as it should and not getting any noticeable focus shift or anything unusual, AF is SPOT on...yay! It is a big heavy lens though...that's the 1 downer, but, I have a 35A as well so I knew what I was getting into. My Flickr

Mine arrived this morning. First impressions: feels substantial and well built. Good to hold and AF is fast. One of my first test shots, in this case at f/2. Minor levels adjustments and a 50% crop. No sharpening applied (and all in camera enhancements inc sharpening are set on zero):
