Sigma 50mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art

I just got this lens as my first upgrade from the kit lens. The first thing I saw once I took it out of the box and put it on my camera was the box itself so I snapped a picture. Really excited to get outside with this lens.

A question for you all, though. In iPhoto, where I import all of my photos, the info for these pictures say Canon 70D (which is correct) with a Canon EF 35mm f/1.4L USM (obviously incorrect). But then it has the correct shutter speed, aperture, and ISO. It even says 50mm for the focal length. I can't say this really bothers me, but is this the sign of some issue related to the connection with my camera, or a hint that there may be some other issues? Thanks in advance!

Mine had one of its harder runs this weekend. It and its 35Art brother were mounted on photo finish cameras the last couple of days through some fairly heavy rain. Now fortunately the guys operating the photo finish gear (I was working elsewhere on the field) were good enough to cover the cameras and lenses but the 50 in particular did get a few drops of water on it.

The lenses are now sitting in a small cabinet with a new carton of desiccant to dry off over the next week. Fingers crossed

Thanks Mark, it is a great place I agree, you also have good shots of it (plus lots of others) I'll have a better look later when I get time, followed you too

So did some beauty headshots last night and wanted to really see how this lens stacks up. I am seriously blown away by the razor sharp images this lens produces from 1.4 to 4.5 its amazing. I will post a few shots once I get back to the computer

Geez, Joey. You could at least practice a bit and post a few meh shots before hitting one out of the park. You know, just to make the rest of us feel better.
