Sigma 50mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art

Sigma really did well with lens. Beautiful little piece of glass. A shot of my wife trying it out in the yard. Now to dial in the autofocus.

Just pulled the trigger and ordered this lens from Jet.com for $810. Hoping to use it for my fall family shoots and event coverage. Any "pros" using this for those purposes? I'll be pairing it with a 70D

I have a 70D and love my ART, that being said it's quite long for family shoots and general events. so be prepared to stand a bit back. I use my 18-35mm ART for width

Agreed. I do prefer the 24mm Art (35mm equivalent) for this purpose. But I may trade my 35 Art for a 50 Art (for portrait shots). :9
Love them all ( Idid try the 50mm and it has the same WOW effect as the 35 and 24... )

I already like the 50MM range and love it for closer up portraits. Just looking for a lens that's faster, better IQ and keeper rates than compared to the nifty fifty. For wide angles, I use the Canon 10-18MM (hardly use it though).
