Sigma 50mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art

Please forgive me for not having time to read through all these pages- I was wondering if this lens has any vignetting wide open? I shoot a lot of newborns and my Canon 24-70 mkII vignettes a lot wide open- which can be nice sometimes, but I am fixing a lot in post because I don't always want a vignette with a newborn. I have looked over my images and many of them I shoot around 50mm. I have a Zeiss 50mm, but for older babies that move a lot, I prefer to have AF. So I was thinking of getting this lens, but want to make sure I would not have the same issue with vignetting. I might not be shooting at 1.4, maybe 2.0 or 2.8. TIA!

Do you use Photoshop or Lightroom? Both should have a lens correction feature with most popular lenses having pre-loaded profiles. Yes the 50 Art does vignette. It is a one click removal for any lens though to get rid of it.

Looks like when both are at 50mm 2.8 the Sigma has less vignette.

A DJ friend ask me to do a headshot after we bumped into each other in a cafe, had the gear in the car from a shoot earlier in the day so a quick set up and shoot. Was a bit of fun on the street with lights set up and the computer resting on the roller for a tether table.

Thanks, Bright sun so just a 33' Elinchrom reflective umbrella camera left about 45º and at head height, just for fill, think I might have placed a white reflector high up to his left too. We where using the 2/135L as it was still on the camera for the earlier job but felt his shot was in landscape so the 50A got popped on.

Some mating toads...lol. Ill take it though for front yard photography

I have CS5, I will look into that again. Someone once said those profiles don't match that well so I never tried them. But that was YEARS ago, so I am sure the technology is probably much better now. I honestly forgot about those it has been so long. Although, since my version of PS is so old, I don't know if either lens would be supported. I will investigate more this afternoon. Thanks for the reminder!
