Apr 29, 2014 17:25 | #4 As a critique of the image, I would offer that the lighting is a bit harsh, clothing is quite crumpled and comes across as disheveled. Tie clip is askew, the left eye is squinting as compared to the right. He needs some kind of color added to his jacket lapel or pocket to tone down the large amount of grey. 5D MKIII/6D/70D/T2i(gave it away to a needy photog)/100-400mm L MKII IS/70-200mm L IS II 2.8/70-200mm L 2.8/24-105L/SP 90mm 2.8 Di VC/18-135mm 3.5-5.6 IS STM/18-55mm 3.5-5.6 IS II/75-300mm III 4-5.6/50mm 1.8/600 EX-RT/430EX II/Westcott Pro Plus 300Wx3/Westcott Softboxes 24x32/Westcott Umbrellas/Pocketwizard Plus III Triggers....

Come in tight. Give us a headshot. I also don't like what's going on with the jawline. Watch this: http://www.youtube.com …?v=Qe3oJnFtA_k&feature=kp

One day at work I noticed a young lady in swimwear pop up on my "People You May Know" section. I didn't know her and still don't.

(I am the subject) Either power them down if they are strobes or shoot softer light with a softbox up close so you can wrap the light. I was thinking the same thing about the shirt. I don't understand your comment about the clip being askew. It looks straight to me? It goes up from left to right. my left eye is smaller than my right one. don't tell anyone! Shot from your right side, that will help balance the eyes. I like your idea about adding some color to the lapel. And then like others have said, come in tighter. Thank you for your comments! Either power them down if they are strobes or shoot softer light with a softbox up close so you can wrap the light. Put the hair light opposite your main, but you may need to feather it just behind the ear. 5D MKIII/6D/70D/T2i(gave it away to a needy photog)/100-400mm L MKII IS/70-200mm L IS II 2.8/70-200mm L 2.8/24-105L/SP 90mm 2.8 Di VC/18-135mm 3.5-5.6 IS STM/18-55mm 3.5-5.6 IS II/75-300mm III 4-5.6/50mm 1.8/600 EX-RT/430EX II/Westcott Pro Plus 300Wx3/Westcott Softboxes 24x32/Westcott Umbrellas/Pocketwizard Plus III Triggers....

Background's a bit distracting. Maybe try a B&W conversion with a slight vignette? Loads better than a lot of LI profiles either way.
