Learning the ropes - youth Lacrosse -

I picked up a new lens (70-300L) and started experimenting a bit last weekend at my son's lacrosse game. Still learning - and I want to see if I'm doing anything horribly wrong.

Equipment and EXIF: T2i, Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6L IS USM, Av mode, f5.6, iso200, 1/1000, @236mm

Good stuff. The only criticism I could offer is the distracting background, but I fully understand that is sometimes beyond your control at these types of events. Other than that your settings seem reasonable and it's a good shot. Well done! Also, I'm jealous of your new lens...

Thanks. Yeah - background . . . I moved to that side of the field because of the location of the sun . . .

Backgrounds will always be an issue but you have to base your location on the sun. Good image IMO, clear, colorful, action, players and faces.
