Was out in Roseville for a few things today and stopped by Action Camera. Surprisingly, they had one in stock so I bought it. Can't want to see how this thing performs!

Does anyone know the date at which the new copies were being released? I read that copies sent from Tamron after mid-February were already fixed with the new firmware.

Well after 3 month & 11 days I am finally getting my 150-600. I ordered it on 20 April, & B&H emailed me today to say it is shipped.

Just thought some of you who are on B&H waiting back order list would like an example of how long the wait is at this time.

Thanks,June I ordered..Hope they start to get caught up and gotta wonder just how many people are waiting in line.:(

So should I be concerned if I was offered this lens? It would be one of the original copies... What exactly was wrong with them?

i'd be more concerned with who is offering up a lens like this...they could just put it up on ebay, and the amount of interest in it would probably drive the price over how much they initially paid

make sure the person you're dealing with is a trusted member, and not a new member

I don't think he should be concerned with who is selling the lens but with why he is selling it. There is a chance that the seller got the pre-fix copy, is not happy with the results and is trying to get rid of it. Believe it or not, but there is a bunch of people out there that never heard of the firmware malfunction in this lens.

I received a PM from a member offering to sell me his. I declined. I'm in no rush and can wait until B&H reaches me on their wait list. Besides, very hot this time of year down here in FL and I probably won't use it much til Fall anyways.

Already verified that the lens was purchased by him in late May from a local camera store that got a copy in and he got lucky with the buy. All models shipped from Tamron after mid-May would have the firmware update, that is already confirmed.

I just a minute ago got a notification from New Egg the lens will ship in 24 to 48 hours. What This was less than a month's wait time. Perhaps good news for everyone on a waiting list...

I just got a call from amazon yesterday, confirming my order for the lens. Also, my local shop called last week confirming my mount request saying they'd be getting a shipment soon.

Got mine one week ago. I sure am glad I have lens micro-adjust. It took +15 to get sharp pics on 7D.
Until that I was using zero, and getting pics that were too soft. I finally had some time yesterday and set up a good test. What a difference.

What in the world is lens mirco adjust? Never heard of this. What exactly does it entail?
