Each year I make an effort to photograph the Burrowing Owls of south Florida. Until this year my timing to see the new arrivals emerge from the burrows has been poor. This time around things worked out and I finally got the shots I'd visualized for quite a while.

It is a gift, (probably an understatement( that you have steve. The look in the little guys eye is as close to a look of love and emotion equal to us smart, sensitive Humans rarely captured. The others are just your usual excellence, lol, grand job indeed.
Actually on a third look they all have that same emotion so realistic.

Nothing but the usual excellence and such cute subjects to boot (if you ignore "grubby" mum or dad in #2). The only thing to be noted to the negative and mostly in jest is where's the DOF when ya need it in #'s 4 & 6 :) Beautifully executed!
