Been away for a while, but felt like sharing some shots from a recent car trip to Utah and Arizona. As always interested in any feedback you're willing to share.

Jon, looks like you had a great trip, as you came away with some great shots. Well done.

Nice shots. It must been a heck of a roadtrip to get all of those shots.

Sony A7RII, 5DII, a bunch of lenses and lighting... Whatever gets the shot... ;-)a

I love the second shot! Did you do some light painting on that one?

Thanks Paul. There was a fair amount of driving and the worst part was the shots I was leaving behind by having such a small window at each location.

Thanks Bryan! No, there was no light painting on this. When I took the shot I assumed that it would be necessary and shot accordingly. But when I got them on my computer I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't necessary.

*Edited* I mistakenly replied that I did use a small amount of light painting when I first responded to this, but I was asked about this photo in another thread which caused me to re-open the file. There was no light painting done to this. Sorry about the misinformation folks!

Thanks ClarkKent!

I love the fact that everyone seems to have their own favorite. I know for me the last one of Cathedral Rock is my favorite, but what do I know?

There's never enough room so it's always a tough choice Rich. Thanks very much for sharing your comments!

Love the photos, nice colors! I'm planning on being in Salt Lake this summer, are any of these locations near by?

Thanks for your comments sbghms! Near is a bit subjective. Several of the shots are from the Moab area, which I'm told is about 4 hours from SLC. If that's close enough for you to weave into your plans then I guess it's near enough. The first shot is of Delicate Arch in Arches National Park. It's about a mile and a half hike and I was speaking to a couple on the way down who were from SLC. They said they drove down to Moab 20 times a year, so it was close enough for them.
