Thank you! I just got some new tubes in the mail today. They allow my lenses to communicate to the body so hopefully now I can get some better macro shots while I save for a 100mm 2.8.

Cute little fellow; have you tried the pancake lens on your tubes, I presume that would give you max magnification?

I've actually been pairing the 40mm with the tubes and having a nice outcome. I've had a few days of very bad outdoor lighting options as it's been stormy here recently. I've been mainly messing around with one of my new to me 40d's and trying to find a sweet spot ISO wise that isn't too noisy.

I'm about to fly out to sunny south FL for the weekend and I'm tempted to take one of my 40d's with a lens or two and the tubes just incase I find anything on the beach work capturing. But...at the same time taking the P&S is so dang tempting.
