Even according to Leica, this is the most boring advert ever, all 42 minutes of it....yup, a bit long for standard advert

Well, you know...Leica cameras...Leica shooters...Leica adverts....

Don't get me wrong. Leica cameras are wonderfully made; they're the Volvos of the camera world. It's just that some of us like something a little less well made and a little more exciting—like a Ford-class camera.

Heck, if it's built well enough, it doesn't even need to actually function.

I acquired an expensive camera so I can hang out in forums, annoy wedding photographers during formals and look down on P&S users... all the while telling people it's the photographer, not the camera.

How many do they make? I'd rather have a moulded version if it saved cost and was as effective - especially at taking pics, however moulding set-up costs are high and it may not be considered worth doing.

I do like the look and feel of some of the stuff you get these days, though I always a assumed this was a by-product of better manufacturing methods and better engineering saving unnecessary materials and weight.
