Fair enough. I'd shoot the same thing the same way. I'm just not fond of broad generalizations. If you had said "I don't like to shoot indoors on a crop without a flash unless I have at least an f1.8 lens" I would have never said anything. It was more the wording of the statement that basically said that anyone shooting anything indoors without a flash required a lens faster than f2.8. That's a completely different statement because people have different things they want to shoot and indoor natural lighting varies quite a bit more than a single stop.
