It wasn't meant to be funny. BL was a hero of mine, you know, Seattle guy and all:cool:

The only place to buy the old version is online. V2 is not released yet

When are we expecting v2 to be available? In about a month?

A couple of things if I wanted a bigger unit great but a quadra killer that is not for me. The lamp heads are too big for travel on a tight budget IE flying, also speed and size with the lithium battery the quadra is smaller and faster then with the nicad he used. Also just one head instead of two heads. Nice unit but it is just a different unit.

Well if you want smaller then you might want the 360. They are different units, but you take from adds to the other viscera. Lithium batteries are not faster they just keep the same current where the nicad batteries get weaker with every shot. The capacitor and the inter works are the same on the quadra ranger rx as the quadra hybrid, so there is no extra punch from the pack to increase the recycle speeds.

When I did the test the batteries were fully charged on both packs and at the lowest power setting of the cl-600 is 1/32 power and it was 2.0 something on the quadra for the same output of power.

I have no clue why they made the cl-600 head so big because right behind the bowens mount the case is fully empty. (about 4" is just empty space.)

The key thing is less money more power. If I need two heads I could buy two units still under the cost of the quadra 2 head kit and they would be 1:1 and not 2:1.

Remember there is always a trade off no matter what unit or camera or lens you use.

Looking at pulling the trigger on a godox rs600p, just a bit confused as to what the v2 people here are waiting on? Is it different to the rs600p?

Improvements and fixes on some small issues that accord during testings.
Since Energizer name is owned by another company this also had to be changed.
V2 will be more stable and reliable
If its labeled XEnergizer its V1
If its labeled CL-600 or %^%^&** its V2
The Godox V2 new name will be announced when they release it

Do you think it's worth waiting for it? Based on the improvements, if I needed one in the next month I'd probably just go for the V1 at a more attractive price. Still has the ratchet handle, LED modeling light w/15 min cutoff, correct?
