In Europe we don't have borders anymore between countries but it is not all better because of that.

The people are more and more dissatisfied with all the politics and who knows it will result in a revolution like a long time ago in France.

In the mid 90s NAFTA (North American free trade agreement) was passed that was sold to the public as a better way to conduct business across borders. Turns out it was written to support the big guy not the little guy.

There are two more such trade treaties in closed door negotiation now. One for the pacific rim and the other with the EU. They provide a lot of legal protection for large corps and help them avoid country based regulation, among other things. But hey our governments have been allowing international corporations to write laws for a while, I don't expect it to change anytime soon.

For the EU/USA it is the TTIP treaty. To us citizen it just enforces a next race to the bottom as it has been done with currencies lately and before that with employment here.

There is only a slim chance that the EU will not agree.

The Cl-600 is a barebuld unit it does not have a build in reflector and the tube is full exposed.

6. Modeling Lamp On / Off

This flash head is equipped with LED modeling lamp.
To turn the modeling lamp on or off, press the Modeling Lamp Switch (12). When it lights up,
shown on the LCD display.
The modeling lamp will be off automatically after 15 minutes so as to prevent overheating. Allow a rest time of 5 minutes before you turn it on.

I have never needed a spare battery on any shoot even when I used the old Quadras. Again thats me and I make sure my packs are charged the night before a shoot. I sure you can buy extras if you need one.

    • I'll try to remember that next time I'm queueing for 2 hours at UK Border Control to get back into my own country. Don't mind queueing to get into someone else's country but getting back home really annoys intensely.
    • Politicians already think that the general populace are revolting. Except when they are begging for our votes of course!
Cynicism aside, a couple of serious questions:-
  1. Does anyone have any idea what Godox are going to call the new unit outside the USA? Always assuming that they don't do the usual obfuscation and just slide it into the market as an RS-600P variant ( RS-600P Ex Spurt?? :-P )
  2. Is the power adjustment á la QT600 (5.0 to 10 in 0.1 increments) or á la CL/AD-360 (1/128 to 1/1 in 0.3 f/stop stages)?
Don't actually need yet another flash (7 battery ones,11 mains powered at present) but I might just indulge myself purely for the heck of it.

Phil ǁ Kershaw Soho Reflex: 4¼" Ross Xpres, 6½" Aldis, Super XX/ABC Pyro in 24 DDS, HP3/Meritol Metol in RFH, Johnson 'Scales' brand flash powder. Kodak Duo Six-20/Verichrome Pan. Other odd bits over the decades, simply to get the job done - not merely to polish and brag about cos I'm too mean to buy the polish!

On an airport waiting that long is quite normal due to the strict controls. The advantage is the easy procedure or none when arriving at the destination.

I can't remember any controls ever travelling by car or bicycle.

The UK has always been very strict for people entering the country. It has not changed since in the thirty years I has been in the UK.

Here are are already 'refugees' sleeping on the doorstep of the police station in my village on their way to their shelter housing.

If they can travel from that far they can also travel the last bit on their own is the official statement.
