I just want to clarify that this is a safari 2 head and not the same head as the ES600P. The ES600 by comparison has the fixed header cable, plastic bowens mount, geared plastic tilt bracket, quartz model light (vs led) and much smaller than the CL600 head. I have both packs and each have their strengths with regards to price, size and quality of head materials. If you want something similar to an Einstein or studio monolight with a full metal bowens S Mount then I'd suggest CL600/Safari2. If you prefer minimum weight for handheld and will be using lightweight modifiers then I'd suggest ES600P.

May be you need to read the whole thread cause noone said they where the old version with the plastic head. Right now only 2 dealers sell the New version of the godox Xenergizer Cheetahstand and Lencarta they are both the same units just tagged under each company. Cheetahstand is called the Cl-600 and Lencarta is called the Safari 2. The original/gen 1 version was not called the ES600 it was EX600 and Gen 2 is called the ES600P. Gen1 and Gen2 both use the same plastic head. Gen2 of the ES600P has an all metal head with a plastic handle and back plate.

Just making sure everyone is on the same page.

I think we're saying the same thing - the current ES600P is a different head than the CL600 and Lencarta Safari 2. I'm not correcting anyone, simply pointing out to anyone who may be confused by the current Godox branding methods. To my knowledge, Godox doesn't have an officially branded version of these "new" heads do they? Or is the Gen 2 ES600P the same as the new Cheetah and Lencarta? Current literature shows the ES600P is still the hotshot handle model with the quartz ESP bulb for a model light but maybe there's new info?

Edit: just re-read your post. I see what you mean. So yes, I think we're both giving the right info -
Current ES600P on sale (gen 1) are the smaller all plastic heads. Gen 2 soon to be released match the Lencarta Safari 2 and CL600

Can you show us how an umbrella mounts to the CL600? I have a westcott apollo and would like to how it would integrate with the CL-600, TIA.

thanks for keeping us up to date on the new product. It's really ridiculous how fast things have changed in the last year. The way battery tech has progressed is really impressive.

somewhat unrelated, but i swear if i had hair as nice as yours i would be getting paid to take pics of underboob too.

Okay I put my biggest modifier on which is a 7' octa and it held fine. I also tried my heaviest octa on which is a Fotodoix 60" EZ-pro open and closes it head the weight just fine. When closed its heavier on the head do to all the weight is on one axles passed the mount. When opened the weight is more evenly balanced back at the mount. I hope that made since.

Because Edward has not released it yet for sale. It was tested at the shop by Duke and David. Then only two people got to buy one Adam and I before the release so we could run it in real world testing.
