I am having trouble with HSS. My 580EX II, when mounted to my Mark II, does fine with HSS. However, off camera and paired with my Yongnuo transceiver, is a no go. I have HSS selected in my camera menu and on the flash itself. Any ideas?

Any ideas? Which Yongnuo transceiver are you using? 5D Mark III, 6D, EOS-M 22mm f/2 | 24-70mm f/2.8L II | 50mm f1.4 | 100L | 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II | Rokinon 8mm Fisheye

I am using the Yongnuo YN-622C Wireless TTL Flash Trigger Wireless Transceiver. Here is the link: http://www.amazon.com …o01_s00_i01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Like oldvultureface said, check the seating and also make sure the pins are not dirty. Otherwise, the 622C should default to HSS mode, so you may have a defect if it still doesn't work. 5D Mark III, 6D, EOS-M 22mm f/2 | 24-70mm f/2.8L II | 50mm f1.4 | 100L | 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II | Rokinon 8mm Fisheye

That is the symptom of a poor connection. I can reproduce that with my 622s by not seating the flash properly. The info in the flash control menu and on the back of the flash appears normal but the black bar shows above sync speed.
