I know the 20D can save these two file at the same time but can the Rebel? If so, how much memory does this each picture take up? What size of memory do you need and aprox. how many pictures will they hold? (RAW and JEPG) and (JEPG only)

With the hack, you can also choose what size the jpg has to be. Else, I think it saves RAW + Big Jpg. Use the EOS Viewer Utility software that comes with the camera to extract the JPEGs. The files will average around 7 megabytes. You'll get around 140 shots on a 1 gigabyte CF card. With the hack you can change the JPEG size. Setting the size to small, the camera indicates 163 images available on a 1GB card, though I've never tested to see how many can actually be recorded. Suppose the final count will vary, depending on ISO and subject matter. JimE

Are they saved on the card as two separate files or is the JPG file stored in the Raw file like the 300D and must be extracted later? I shoot with a Little Canon
