Friday was the military appreciation / practice day and decided to beat the crowds to see the Thunderbirds. Weather was excellent, but shooting into the sun is always a challenge. Fortunately they had bleachers set up, but they were almost 2000' right of show center which threw off ability for good crossing shots. (Were politely told to leave the flightline since they had aircraft arriving during the day and still setting up booths.) On the plus side, the inbound turn for the sneak passes were almost over our heads. Three times F-16s in burner crossed over us - wicked loud, car alarms going off and kids screaming/crying. Priceless! hahaha!

Hope you like these. C&C welcome. I have shots from other performers as well.

Some great shots there. Sadly, a stunt pilot was killed at Travis today during the show. Hate to see that happen.

Thanks for the comments guys. Appreciate it.

Yes, unfortunately there was a mishap today. We watched him practice on Friday and here are a couple of shots of him taxiing out. Prayers go out to his family and friends.

Godspeed, Eddie. Big loss of a real old-time stunt pilot.

I had seen Eddie perform at a couple shows before, he was fun to watch. He was just in Halfmoon Bay for the Pacific Coast Dream Machines with his Stearman and his P51. Sad day.

Thank you. Yes, was nice to have the bleachers directly in front of the liftoff point for most of the planes that day.
