I got an great deal on a Urban Disguise 50 v1 and it really will be perfect for an upcoming international trip. The only thing I was wondering, was if anyone that used the v1 prior to the v2 had used a tripod, and if there had been some sort of strap to attach with the 2 metal hooks on the bottom of the bag. I did send a note into ThinkTank asking about it; but I realize they are wanting to push the new version... not the old version.

Sure could use a little advise! Thanks

The two metal loops are to attach the harness to turn it into a backpack-type bag. AFAIK there are no loops for tripod attachment in the v1.

Version 2 of the Urban Disguise series includes four webbing loops on the bottom of the bags to use with TT's "attachment straps" for carrying a tripod underneath. There are also similar loops on each end of the bags for attaching external pouches etc. It was one of the new features that, IMO, makes v2 worth getting over v1.
