Lens Hoods

Do any of you guys use lens hoods and if so, what kind? Thanks!

Always have one on for lens protection. I use Canon hoods.

Yes, almost always. Factory.

Thanks guys. I've never used one but I'm leaning toward Canon for my 24-105 and 70-200 f4 is.

The L lenses come with hoods, so no worries.

Nearly every time. The only time I don't, is when I'm stacking plate filters on my ultrawide.

I use the factory hood if it came with one.
If not, I buy a much less expensive 3rd party hood.
It's the best protection for your front element.
And it helps control flare/glare.

I use all the time. Some people who don't understand wonder why I use the hood inside like at basketball games. Dropping the camera with the lens can happen. The hood might protect the lens from damage.
Also if the sun is in the wrong place it can help with flare.
My advise is buy them and use them all the time.
Like someone else said, the L's come with the hood included. Sigma includes hoods, and I hope Tamron's do as well (I have one on order).

i always use lens hoods on all my lenses as i figure it can't heart,easy to replace too.
