I can agree with your statement of the image being to soft. It is a bit soft. I loved the bokeh so much I wanted to keep it. At least you approached me with some respect. Squashed

Squashed From what little I know about the Canon 50 F/0.95 (none from actual experience), it's a lens with a strong personality rather than one to please at a pixel peeping level. 'Dream lens' that can deliver really very fine images if you can figure it out. David.

mksurfer Junior Member More info Post edited over 6 years ago by mksurfer. | It is fickle. I have found that it's a touch of luck sometimes honestly. With the Sony A7Rii I can use the focus assist to try and dial in the focus more accurately. The main problem is @ 0.95 any type of sway or body movement from the photographer or the subject may cause the capture to be either soft or oof. It is really frustrating but so rewarding when you do nail it completely. With a model that is cooperative its one thing, but a child or random street shot, you kinda have to take what you can get. I just can't stop it down. It's almost an addiction. My best results have been from shooting multiple exposures and really focusing on my body movement and breathing when I press the shutter. There is a shot of my setup. Some decent gear and not enough time to use it all.

airfrogusmc I'm a chimper. There I said it... More info | Mar 31, 2017 13:26 | #3875 I shoot now with Leica Ms and I find focus with a true rangefinder to be easier than I ever imagined.

mksurfer Junior Member More info | I would love to get there eventually. I don't have the funds for a noctilux and a nice M body yet. Three kids, daycare and such taps the accounts. I had to go with the canon. I will own a noctilux one day. Some decent gear and not enough time to use it all.

saea501 ... spilled over a little on the panties More info | Mar 31, 2017 15:16 | #3878 mksurfer wrote in post #18315699 All of your gallery photos have exif data...... It's really easy to make a generic statement regarding missed focus. I was merely stating that all of the photos in your gallery reflect that you use a much narrower aperture with greater depth of field that makes your pictures more in focus. My target was her right eye and I think the focus is acceptable for 0.95. But to each there own. You might try being a bit more positive and then add some constructive criticism instead of ripping me up in one of my first posts here. Thats not very inviting for newcomers. Matt Ripping you up? Remember what the DorMouse said.....feed your head.
