Hi
When downloading images from camera to PC using EOS utility I cant download more than around 200 raw files. This has never happened before, it looks like the camera is freezing or something ? If I put CF card into 7D it works fine. I have the latest versions of Canon Firmware and software.

Any ideas ... ?

Many thanks

Chas

I would use a card reader, I never use the utility/usb cable method, I ran into too many issues that way.

Tough to say really, as there are a few moving parts involved across both the camera and the computer/drivers. A card reader should ultimately be faster anyways though, than the USB drivers on the camera.

I can verify that my old 1DIV started having weird issues downloading also, when connected via USB cable. Never found out why, and it never had any affect on the actual use of the camera.

I just bought a card reader as suggested, and never worried about it again.
