very tempting.... but I'd rather have an EOS-M :(

If steroids are illegal for athletes, should PS be illegal for models?

Would be cool with underwater housing. Anyone try the ones going for $105 on ebay?

Same here. Not usually an impulse buyer. But I needed LR5 which means the camera costs me $50-70. Will probably stay in my glove compartment.

It's a pretty capable system, really. Don't let the 2.7x crop sensor fool you. The AF and shutter lag are DSLR speed. Not joking.

They have a 18.5mm f1.8 lens for the camera for only $180 that is really quite awesome if you want to do some serious shooting with the Nikon 1.

My thinking exactly. Great for just having readily available I figure.

I'm actually looking forward to shooting with it. Currently have a Sony RX100 as my daily carry camera. Put around ~5k clicks on it in 10 months. It's taken a few nasty tumbles and some functions no longer work. Figured the J1 + a $100 refurb 10mm 2.8 will be its replacement. Might look into that 18.5mm as well, thanks.

Agree completely. And it'll kick the stuffing out of the EOS-M on anything that moves.

I'm in the fence! I would love lightroom 5, and the can would be cool to have

6D, 70-200 MKii F2.8, Tamron 24-70mm, Canon 40mm
Eos M, 18-55mm, 20mm
Alienbee 800, Canon 430exii, Canon 90ex
