I know the last one isn't great, but I was shooting the 100-400 with the 1.4xTC (560mm) wide open at ISO3200 and 1/50 second. not too bad!

now that I know about when the birds come around, I am going to try some lighting... wish me luck!

Lovely shots!

I like the one in the tree the best, though you might clone out that speck at the tip of his beak. It's a little distracting.

Good shots. I always like how the males are so much more red, with the females being smaller and more brownish. I've seen a few so far, but they're durn fast and flighty. I need sneek-up practice!!
