So I found out today that I'm not able to fire my Sigma 610 DG Super with a wireless trigger (I have a Cowboystudio one). Will the yn-560 iii work off this system or do I need to use the trigger from YN?

You should be able to depending on the Cowboy studio trigger. worse case If your trigger has a PC sync out on the receiver you should be able to use the PC sync in on the YN-560III. I think you'll need RF-603 triggers to wireless pop a YN-560III, but I haven't researched that out.

I was trying to, but my Google-Fu might of been flawed. I have the Cowboystudio NPT-04. It does have sync port on the receiver, the manual just calls it a PC socket. I don't know why Sigma changed something on the flash. The older 500 DG Super would fire from a trigger like the NPT-04.

I'm just really wondering if the NPT-04 would trigger the YN 560 via hot shoe. If not, I'll just get adapters I need so I can use the sync port.

yes the NPT-04 should trigger a 560III either by hot shoe or by pc-sync with just a wire.

Cool. I ended up ordering an adapter so I can use my Sigma flash for now with the triggers.
