The very beginning of this test tells you why it's resolution doesn't matter, the fact that it's shutter is pushed like crazy for daylight video makes it basically worthless as a video camera imo. Also some of the past observations about Canon capabilities are questionable at best. Getting off the subscription for this thread, as it seems to be just a bit of pot stirring.
