Songs for sports slideshow

I'm doing the slideshow at the end of season banquet for my daughter's HS lacrosse team. I'd like to get some suggestions on current, relevant songs to use. I'll likely use all or part of multiple songs and am planning on having themes within the slide show. For example thinking of a portion highlighting Senior Night and using the song Smile by Uncle Cracker.

Any suggestions for songs?

No idea on songs, but have you considered performance rights for public performance? Could be an issue ...

Katy Perry - Roar. I only know this because my daughters softball team blasts it constantly

If you are not charging for the slide show, you should be able to use any song you wish, as long as you obtained it legally, but you might want to check with an attorney.

I sell sideshows for the sports that I shoot so all my music is royalty free. There are a few good sites to purchase from. Triple Scoop Music is a very good site for royalty free.

At all the banquets I do, I run the slideshow in an endless loop for the entire banquet. The music is only on while people arrive. The I turn it off. Not everyone is going to like all music and it can also be distracting.
