It used to be that you could opt to send an email to other users instead of a PM (although many users opted not to make their email addresses available).

Personally, I much preferred to get an email instead of a PM, but now I notice that nobody's profile page has the "send ___(username)___ an email"

When was this changed? A few months ago? A few years ago?

Could Pekka put this option back?

I really do dislike the PM system here because of its tiny limit of 100 messages. Email never gets full, and is fully searchable . . . and I am ok with taking a chance on getting spammers sending me emails from time to time - that is a small price to pay for the convenience.

Please let's get the email thing back up and running.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

If you need to email a member, PM him/her and ask for email address.

Even if some do not mind spam, we do (and I do not want our mail server blacklisted as a spam source). I removed the option to email other members via forums a couple of years ago.
