Very nice, Cheryl. Years ago I did a breeding bird count in N. MN with an ornithology buddy of mine and of all the birds we heard and saw, these were the most numerous. And not that they still aren't around, but I rarely encounter them. Well done.

These are beautiful. I spotted one here today too. I sat, and waited...no pictures yet! Blue sky and sunshine...bonus!

Thank you Al! I love seeing these guys, they're so colorful. Hope you're able to see more of them this year...

Glad you like them Bret! Was thrilled this morning when I looked out the window & the two were there... keeping an eye out for the Mrs...

Thanks Sandy!! I'm sure you'll get some great shots, bird photography sure takes a lot of patience I find.. Glad the skies are now blue and not that drab cloudy, rainy days like we've been having... Now for 'black fly' season. :(

Oh Happy Day Cheryl, and marvelous images of these males.
I too am always happy to have these around, and believe or not still had a male hanging around this AM.
Your lovely captures indicate that they seem to be treating you better than me and poor old Bret. Hope to see many more!

Those are mighty fine shots, Cheryl. Had 2 males on my feeder today-a first. Previous years there would be 1 for about 2 days and then gone. Hope to get some time tomorrow and maybe get lucky.

They're beauties, Cheryl! Well done. They do eat as voraciously as their yellow and black cousins, don't they?

Hey Rog, you gotta take the time for some 'shootin' tomorrow & catch them while you can, before they're gone.. good luck, hope to see you post in the near future ;).. Thanks for taking the time to comment...

Thank you Ian! Their cousins stopped coming here after the 'Ice Storm', used to have flocks of them, now...nothing :( Sure miss them..
