Had a few nerves about posing for our first same-sex engagement shoot. I think we did ok and the couple was awesome. Any comments or critiques are appreciated!

Not my area of photography, but I think you did great. Only thing to me is I think # 4 might need cropped some. Might be a little too much blown out sky? I think it would look good to crop to where the right side of the mountain is at the top of the frame. That way there is still some sky showing. Honestly , Not sure about #8.

Thanks for the critique on #4. I haven't delivered these yet so I will try out your suggestions on cropping and maybe try to bring down the blown out sky. This was really outside of any session we have done to date so I was really looking to see if the posing looked natural. When you have done so many guy and girl engagement shoots, you have go to poses and this was a totally new thing for us.

I like #4 as is. I'm into those tall shots though. Nothing wrong with blown out skies either, actually makes this type of work look nice and clean. You did a great job

Thanks for the compliment. I did try to re-work #4 a little and it seemed to lose the magical glow that it has with the original. The sky is gone (blown out) so there is no way to naturally try to bring it down. I delivered these as a sneak peek and the couple was very happy with what they saw so far.

Nice job! The pics show a warmth or intimacy sometimes lacking from so many wedding photos. 1 and 3 are my favorites.... as for #4, if I cropped at all, I would only crop 10% or so from the top to give it more balance.

Looks good. I'd fix the nail polish in number 1.

Looks like paint design or rhinestones.

I like all of them except the Black and whites, I feel the color is something you should stick to as consistent in the series.
