Hey guys, I'm looking for another CF tripod because the one i just bought, the Giottos YTL8254, didn't have a wide enough standard leg spread, and was very shaky. So i am looking for another CF tripod with a wider standard leg spread but still lightweight enough with strength. I'm looking at the Oben CT-2461 and the Manfrotto 055CXPRO3. Can anyone comment on either and/or give me another recommendation? Thanks

- Matt

If you are concerned about the foot print (leg spread) of the tripod then I would suggest you look out for a secondhand Gitzo 2 series tripod. A 3 series would be even better but heavier.
Used tripods often go fairly cheap if you are persistent and hunt about. Both I and a friend picked up older model 3 Series carbon Gitzos for 100 pounds ($160 ish in your money) so it's worth looking. Both of these were a bit more than you, currently need, but at that price - who cares?

Life is for living, cameras are to capture it (one day I will learn how!).
