Does anyone know if any 3 rd party suppliers are providing these yet? I'm not keen on paying the silly price canon are asking for their own......

I think its too early right now. I also have a feeling 3rd party suppliers typically want to scope out interests and necessity on the product before spending money on molds and R&D.

Not worth it for them to spend money and time on products that won't sell much.

I'm waiting for SterlingTek or Wasabi batteries.

Hopefully it comes out soon because the PowerShot N100 uses the NB-12L as well.

still playing with settings and what-so-not, so can't really give a fair account.
...I am scared to know LOL - it will dictate how many more batteries I will have to buy, if I want to be camping for a full week carrying only this camera

I just recharged the battery. I'll try and play with it this weekend (weather is gloomy with rain. I'll maybe use it for when I'm reviewing products). I looked through and played with the settings with the initial charge straight out of box before it died on me.

According to Canon specs, its 240 shots. I'm sure with Wasabi and SterlingTek, it will have a bigger mAh and offer more shots. I've had good experience with these batteries and they've outlasted OEM batteries.
