Some shots from the reshoot of the 32 Studebaker Rockne our shop just did the refresh on. I found out some interesting facts about the car while doing this shoot. The car has been in the owners family since late 60's. The owner's father took this car to the first ever street rod nationals in Peoria Ill. in 1970. The owner used to sleep on the package tray in the back window when he was a child traveling with his parents to car shows. The owner took over redoing the car in the late 90's, picking up where his father had left off before he had passed away. The car ended up at our shop in 2004 where it was finished. This is it after the refresh we recently did about 4 months ago. Very neat car with a very cool story behind it.

Nice Studi! I wish you'd have angled it to pick up more highlights from the sky as in the last one.

Yes. I am working on them now in post. I only had a couple that I felt were usable from this shoot. The paint on the car is so deep and shiny that is like a rolling mirror. Especially with the sun hard in it. I'll post up some of the other shots once I have them finished in post.

Here are a few more from this shoot.

This one I light painted using my Phottix Mitros flash. This took 12 exposures to make this shot. Not my favorite of the set, but wouldn't mind some feedback on it so I can improve the next time I try this technique.

#1 of that set is more like what I had in mind. Now you just need a location that will produce cleaner reflections in the body.

Beautiful car. Although I really like the '32 Ford variants, it's nice to see something else from the early '30's....and a Studebaker works .

Great photos, you've done that old Studey justice....lot's of Golden Hour shots that show it to it's best advantage.

Could you provide some more details...ie; engine, transmission....also those wire wheels with the knock off hubs...haven't seen those before and they look great.

The car is powered by an Chevrolet LT1 5.7 liter V8. The transmission is an 700 R4 coupled to a Mustang 8.8 rear end. Not sure of gear size. Stock boxed frame rails with a Heidts front end and Air Ride Shockwaves Air bag shocks up front. Four link rear suspension with coilovers.

The wheels are the newest addition to the car. They are Dayton Wire Wheels, 15 x 4.5 in the front 17 x 8 in the rear. Made in Dayton Ohio. Been around since 1916.

I can not find my engine pics! I know I have a few. Don't know what drive I have them on. I can hunt them down if your interested in seeing the engine compartment.

Nice to have an overdrive and the power to weight ratio should be real good with that sbc.

I know hunting for pics can be a lot of trouble....been there done that:) ...but if you come across any, wouldn't mind seeing them.
